The Sacrament of Confirmation takes place during the junior year of high school in the Archdiocese of New Orleans. Those registering are able to begin certain preparations during the summer such as service hours and then complete registration in September of the junior year. The program follows the requirements of the archdiocese and includes instructional classes, service hours, and a retreat. CYO membership is not required for Confirmation, but definitely enhances the experience of preparing for the sacrament within a strong peer faith community.
